The God of War, Ares, is a fighting instructor at Avengers Academy. He hails from Olympus and teaches students to fight at The Arena Of War. He is a character you could first recruit to your academy during the Thor: Ragnarok Event. His Recruitment Quest is Get Ares! His Mission Board Quests can be found here.

Ares has light skin and red eyes.

Ares's Rank 1 appearance is a black t-shirt with a white skull and crossbones logo, a whistle necklace, metal gauntlets, and grey sweatpants with "Avengers" printed on the side. He is also wearing a gold Corinthian helmet.

Ares's Rank 3 appearance is a black tunic with a white skull and crossbones logo over black pants and knee-high black boots. He also wears black gauntlets on each arm and a gold Corinthian helmet.

Ares's Rank 5 appearance is black and gold armor with a white skull and crossbones logo and knee-high gold boots. He wears spiked black and gold gauntlets on each arm and a gold Corinthian helmet with a red plume.

Ares thinks Ant-Man is too weak and needs to train more.

Black Widow[]

Ares thinks Black Widow is his favorite student.

Captain America[]

Even Ares can't push Captain America to train any harder than he already does.

Captain America and Ares disagree on use of force. Captain America advocated for avoiding deadly force whenever possible, but Ares thinks it's necessary.

Enchantress[]

Ares thinks Enchantress is too weak and needs to train more.

Falcon[]

Ares thinks Falcon is too weak and needs to train more.

Gorgon[]

Ares respects Gorgon as a fellow warrior. He encourages him to train the other Inhumans and help toughen them up.

Hercules[]

Despite how much Ares hates his half-brother Hercules, he admitted that he'd be honored to fight by his side.
